Adam Dawes is a corporate communications executive and the founder and president of Dawes Communications LLC. Adam has over 13 years of experience as a corporate communications and public relations professional having spent time in both the private and public sectors.

Previously, Adam was the Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications for Netspend. During his tenure at Netspend, Adam built and expanded the company’s corporate communications function and secured media coverage in numerous national outlets including NBC Nightly News, CNN, The Washington Post, Forbes, Fox News, and Pymnts.com. Adam also spearheaded a $15-million national brand awareness campaign executing sponsorships with The Times Square Alliance, ABC, Disney, NBC, Shaq’s Fun House, I Heart Radio, the 2023 Cap-10K, the Innovative Payments Association, and the Austin Technology Council. In addition, he supported the companies’ public affairs efforts and served on the Netspend scholarship committee, community engagement committee, and the company’s annual philanthropy event, Community Connect.

Prior to Netspend, Adam was a communications and public affairs consultant who served clients in multiple sectors. Adam also served as the Deputy Director of Communications and Constituent Affairs Director for the Texas Lt. Governor.

Adam holds a BA from Baylor University where he was a member of the national communications honor society- Lamda Pi Eta. He currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife and seven-year-old son. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, volunteering at his son’s school, watching the 24-hour news cycle, attending church, and cheering on the Baylor Bears. His broad interests have provided him with tangible learning opportunities and life-long relationships.
