Kelley is an experienced executive in the global payments business, known for his ability to meet financial targets, enhance operating efficiencies, and execute strategic visions. His leadership style is a blend of openness, drive, and a strong focus on relationships and outcomes. Kelley is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of multi-disciplined talent and he actively engages in community initiatives, bringing a culturally diverse perspective to his work and personal life.
With a global career spanning several decades, Kelley has held influential senior executive positions in major organizations like Global Payments, GE Capital, and Visa. His expertise has also been recognized through his service on the boards of numerous companies and joint ventures worldwide. Notably, Kelley has held board positions at M&S Money, Prepaid International Forum (PIF), Clear Money Ltd., and Dione plc, as well as board seats on partnership boards such as China Union Pay Data, GPNet and Money2Pay.
In February 2024, Kelley rejoined Global Payments (GPN) as Chief Growth Officer for TSYS, its issuer solutions business. As a Fortune 500 financial and payments technology powerhouse, GPN leads the industry in innovation, scale and service with experience being its true differentiator. In this role, Kelley oversees all growth functions globally including sales, business development, account management, partnerships, marketing and product. He is responsible for driving go-to-market strategies, expanding market and product capabilities, establishing new relationships and helping to drive innovation and transformation within the business to build on top of the annual $2B revenue that already exists today. In addition, Kelley’s other current endeavors include a board executive committee role in the Austin Technology Council and he participates in seed-funding investments through the well-known incubator, Capital Factory. Having lived in London for about 30 years, Kelley holds dual citizenship in the US and the UK. His extensive travel across continents has endowed him with a deep understanding of the cultural, commercial, and political landscapes worldwide.
In July 2023, Kelley founded Future of Payments LLC in Austin, Texas. This venture provides mentoring and advisory services to global entities in the payments and financial services industries. The company was established to leverage Kelley’s skills in strategic planning, interim leadership, M&A assessments, and various other advisory services.
Until mid-2023, Kelley was the President of Netspend, a segment of Global Payments, a Fortune 500 company (GPN). Netspend achieved growth/margin success during his leadership period before the strategic decision to carve-out/divest the Netspend Consumer business from GPN. Prior to Netspend, Kelley was with TSYS (Total System Services), Inc., where he held several key senior executive positions, including President of TSYS Issuer Solutions (International LoB). His tenure at TSYS was marked by significant growth and expansion into new international markets and service categories, demonstrating adeptness in global business strategies, client relationship management, and diverse team development.
Earlier in his career, Kelley served as CEO of Clear Money Limited in London, where he led the UK’s premier electronic bill presentment and payment service. His tenure at GE Capital as Senior Vice President of Global Cards was marked by innovative strategies in consumer lending across over 30 countries.
Kelley’s journey in the financial/payments sector began with Visa International, where he held various senior roles, significantly contributing to the development of new product/service opportunities in EMEA. His early career also includes impactful roles at Simpson Paper Company and TRW, Inc., where he honed his skills in business administration, planning and analysis.
Outside of his professional life, Kelley is passionate about his family, traveling, community volunteering, attending sports events, enjoying live music, and experiencing theater and performing arts. His diverse interests reflect his curious personality and commitment to a well-rounded life.
